Audio-first workflow
Generate audio before you cut picture — align B-roll to the waveform, not the other way around.
Step 1
Paste script
One hook per Shorts clip, or segment long chapters so you can re-generate a single paragraph later.
Step 2
Pick voice
Turbo for hooks and social; Multilingual for lessons and multi-language drafts. Adjust speed before you generate.
Step 3
Download MP3
Credits show upfront. Preview in the browser, then download MP3.
Step 4
Cut video to audio
Drop MP3 on your timeline, cut visuals to the read, then send start frames to Reeldo Studio for image-to-video.
Voiceover scenarios for video creators
Start from a chip to pre-fill model, voice, and sample copy — then replace with your script.
Shorts hook
Fast Turbo read for the first three seconds — import MP3 before you pick stock or AI B-roll.
Use in generator →YouTube explainer

Voiceover vs sound design
Use voiceover when you have a script to read. Use text-to-audio when you need ambience, stings, or mixed scene beds for video.
| Topic | AI Voiceover | AI Sound / text-to-audio |
|---|---|---|
| Input | Finished script (characters) | Director-style prompt (cue sheet) |
| Output | Single clean narration MP3 | Mixed scene audio (SFX, beds, lines) |
| Best for | Shorts hooks, courses, ads, faceless VO | Ambience, whooshes, podcast opens, AI video beds |
Voiceover troubleshooting
Most issues are script formatting, model choice, or NLE import — not the generator itself.
Read feels rushed
Turbo + high speed on a dense script.
Lower speed to 0.95, switch to Multilingual for long sentences, or break into two generations.
Wrong language or accent
Turbo model with mixed-language copy.
Use Multilingual v2 and set a language hint in Advanced. Keep each paragraph in one language.
Numbers or names misread
TTS guessing abbreviations and numerals.
Write numbers as words for critical lines, hyphenate tricky brand names, or split the sentence.
Flat or robotic delivery
Bullet list without punctuation or all-caps hook.
Use normal sentences, commas, and one exclamation max. Try Delivery → Expressive for hooks only.
Quiet after import to CapCut / Premiere
Clip gain or normalized timeline headroom.
Normalize VO to −3 dBFS in the NLE, disable auto-duck on the music track until VO is placed.
Shorts hook pattern
Stop scrolling — [one concrete promise]. In the next thirty seconds: [step 1], [step 2], [payoff].
Advanced audio-first tips
Tip 1
Segment long chapters
Generate one MP3 per section so a script edit only re-bills that paragraph.
Tip 2
Cut to the waveform
Import VO first, mark breath gaps, then place B-roll on those beats.
Tip 3
Lock voice across variants
Keep the same voice + model when testing five ad hooks — change copy only.
Voiceover credits (estimate)
Credits scale with script length and model. The generator shows the exact estimate before you run.
| Model | Rough rate | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Turbo 2.5 | ~250 characters per credit | Shorts hook (~120 chars) ≈ 3 credits |
| Turbo 2.5 | ~250 characters per credit | 2-minute ad read (~600 chars) ≈ 3–4 credits |
| Multilingual v2 | ~144 characters per credit | Course section (~400 chars) ≈ 3 credits |
Maximum script length 5,000 characters per generation. Failed runs refund credits per Reeldo policy.
After voiceover — animate in Reeldo Studio
Use your script timing as the master clock. Generate start frames in Frame Lab, then image-to-video with sound-on models when you want native ambience.
